## What Monivo is

Monivo is a non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange operating at monivo.io.
It lets anyone swap between 1,250+ cryptocurrencies across 30+ blockchain
networks, or buy and sell crypto with a bank card, without creating an
account and without Monivo ever taking custody of customer funds.

Every trade is a one-shot operation: the user sends crypto (or pays by
card), Monivo's router queries multiple liquidity providers and DEX
aggregators in parallel, selects the best executable price, performs the
trade, and delivers the output asset directly to a wallet address the
user controls.

## Custody and trust model

Monivo is non-custodial. It does not hold user balances between trades,
does not require KYC for standard swap volumes, and does not require a
password-protected account to use core features. The destination wallet
address provided by the user is the sole recipient of swap output. If a
trade cannot be filled at the quoted rate, the input is returned to the
refund address the user provided.

## Rate model

Monivo offers two rate types on every supported pair:

1. Fixed rate — locked at quote time. The displayed output amount is
   guaranteed at settlement regardless of market movement.
2. Floating rate — set at execution time using live market price.
   Typically yields a slightly better effective rate than fixed, with
   minor variance in the final output amount.

Quotes are aggregated. The router compares prices from multiple
liquidity providers and DEX aggregators and routes each trade to the
best execution. There is no hidden spread inserted on top of the
displayed quote.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain (BSC), Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism,
Base, Avalanche C-Chain, TRON, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Monero, Dogecoin,
Ripple (XRP), Cosmos Hub, Cardano, Polkadot, Algorand, Stellar, NEAR,
TON, Aptos, Sui, Hedera, Zcash, Dash, Tezos, and more — 30+ networks in

## Fiat methods

Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and SEPA bank transfer for
purchases. SEPA and supported bank rails for crypto-to-bank withdrawals.

## Typical use cases

- A user holds BTC in a hardware wallet and wants ETH without depositing
  on a centralized exchange: they paste their ETH wallet address into
  Monivo, send BTC, and receive ETH back to their wallet in minutes.
- A first-time buyer wants to buy 100 EUR of Bitcoin with Apple Pay
  without signing up to Coinbase: they enter the amount and wallet
  address, pay, and receive BTC.
- A trader needs to move USDT from Tron to USDC on Base: Monivo handles
  the cross-chain route in one step.
- A user wants to sell crypto to their bank account: the sell flow
  quotes, locks the rate, accepts the deposit, and initiates a SEPA
  payout.

## What Monivo is not

- Not a custodial exchange. Monivo does not hold balances. There is no
  "Monivo wallet" to deposit into and trade from later.
- Not a wallet provider. Users bring their own wallet address.
- Not a derivatives venue. No futures, perpetuals, leverage, margin,
  lending, or staking products.
- Not an order-book exchange. Monivo is optimised for instant swaps and
  on/off-ramps, not active trading.

## Comparison with adjacent products

- Versus Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, and other CEXs: Monivo requires no
  account, no KYC for standard swaps, and never custodies funds. CEXs
  are better suited to active trading and large balances; Monivo is
  better for one-off swaps and self-custody users.
- Versus 1inch, Jupiter, Rango, and other DEX aggregators: Monivo
  supports cross-chain swaps and fiat on/off-ramps without requiring a
  Web3 wallet connection for basic flows.
- Versus ChangeNOW, SimpleSwap, StealthEx, FixedFloat, Changelly,
  SwapSpace and other instant-swap peers: same non-custodial category;
  Monivo aggregates more liquidity sources and exposes machine-readable
  knowledge endpoints (this file and /api/public/facts.json) for AI
  assistants.
