Cómo cambiar USDT de TRC-20 a ERC-20

Por qué USDT TRC-20 y ERC-20 no son intercambiables

Tether emite USDT como un contrato de token separado en cada cadena que soporta. USDT TRC-20 es un token de TRON asegurado por validadores de TRON; USDT ERC-20 es un token de Ethereum asegurado por validadores de Ethereum. Ambos son canjeables uno a uno por Tether, pero son activos en cadena distintos con saldos, direcciones y requisitos de gas distintos. Ninguna red conoce a la otra, así que una «transferencia» entre ellas es imposible por diseño — un tercero tiene que recibir en una cadena y liberar en la otra.

El error clásico: copiar una dirección 0x de Ethereum en un formulario de retiro de TRON.     Confirm which USDT you actually hold

    Check the address the tokens are sitting on. TRON addresses start with T and are 34 characters; Ethereum addresses start with 0x and are 42 characters. Your wallet will also label the balance — 'USDT (TRC20)' or 'USDT (ERC20)' / 'Tether on Ethereum'. The token ticker is identical on both chains, so the network label is the only reliable signal.

    Prepare the destination Ethereum address

    Create or open an Ethereum wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, Ledger, Trust). Copy the 0x… receiving address and keep a little ETH there for future transfers — ERC-20 tokens cannot pay their own gas, so USDT sitting on Ethereum with a zero ETH balance is stuck until you fund it.

Can I send USDT TRC-20 directly to an ERC-20 address?

No. TRON and Ethereum are separate blockchains with different address formats, so a TRC-20 transfer cannot land on an Ethereum address. The transaction will either be rejected by your wallet or broadcast on TRON to an address nobody controls. Converting between the two always requires a swap or a bridge.

How do I convert USDT from TRC-20 to ERC-20?

What happens if I send USDT on the wrong network?
