You are giving up Ethereum, a asset available through multiple network representations, and receiving Bitcoin, a UTXO-based native asset. The important change is not only the ticker: the destination wallet must support Bitcoin, while the sending wallet must use the exact deposit network and amount in the order.

  • • ETH or BTC can exist on more than one network. Match the network named in the quote on both the sending and receiving sides.

  • • Compare the first and last six characters of the BTC address after pasting it.

Before sending

If the network, address, amount, rate type, or expiry is wrong, stop and request a new quote. Never test an uncertain address with the full amount.

After sending

Do not send a second deposit. Save the ETH transaction hash and order reference, check on-chain confirmations, then contact 24/7 live support if the status does not advance.

Wrong amount or late deposit

The provider may reprice or return the deposit under its terms. Only the executing provider can confirm the outcome once funds were sent.

Most crypto-to-crypto swaps complete in under 10 minutes. Actual time depends on source-chain confirmations and the executing provider, so this is typical, not guaranteed.

Do I need an account or KYC for ETH to BTC?

A standard crypto-to-crypto swap does not require a Monivo account, and Monivo does not run identity verification for it. The executing provider applies its own AML policy and may request verification on an individual order.
