Privacy Policy
Monivo is built around the idea that you should not have to give up your privacy to exchange crypto. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe. If you have questions, just ask.
1. Our privacy-first approach
Because Monivo is non-custodial, most swaps can be completed without creating an account or providing personal information. You connect your own wallet, choose an asset pair, and the swap is executed directly between you and the liquidity provider. We never see your private keys and we do not hold your funds at any point.
2. What we collect
We keep data collection to a minimum:
- Swap transaction data. Wallet addresses, transaction IDs, asset pairs, amounts, and timestamps. This is necessary to process your swap and help you track its status.
- Device and usage data. Browser type, operating system, IP address, and pages visited. This helps us detect fraud, prevent abuse, and improve performance.
- Optional account data. If you choose to create an account (not required for swaps), we collect your email address. You may also add a display name.
- Card purchase data. When you buy crypto with a card, our payment processor collects the information required by card networks and anti-money-laundering regulations. We do not store your full card number.
3. What we do not collect
- We do not store private keys, seed phrases, or passwords.
- We do not require identity documents for crypto-to-crypto swaps.
- We do not track you across unrelated websites for advertising purposes.
4. How we use your data
- To route, execute, and support your swaps and purchases.
- To display your transaction history if you use the optional account feature.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and sanctioned-address activity.
- To analyse aggregate usage patterns so we can improve the product.
- To respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use your data to train AI models.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working smoothly and to understand how visitors use Monivo in aggregate. These include functional cookies that remember your preferences, and analytics cookies that help us measure traffic and spot errors. You can disable analytics cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to swap.
6. Third-party providers
We share the minimum necessary data with the liquidity providers and payment processors that actually execute your trades or card purchases. Each of these partners has their own privacy policy and security practices. We choose partners with strong reputations for data protection, but we encourage you to review their policies as well.
7. Data retention
We keep transaction records for as long as required by applicable tax and anti-money-laundering laws, typically a minimum of five years. Device and usage logs are retained for up to twelve months unless needed for an active investigation. If you delete your optional account, we will remove your email address within thirty days, though we may retain transaction records for legal compliance.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You may also have the right to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us at support@monivo.io and we will respond within the timeframe required by your local law.
9. Security
We encrypt data in transit using TLS and follow industry best practices for server security. Because we are non-custodial, the most sensitive part of any transaction — your private keys — never touches our servers at all. That said, no online service is perfectly secure, and you should also protect your own devices and wallet credentials.
10. International transfers
Monivo operates globally, and our servers and partners may be located in different countries. When we transfer data across borders, we do so with appropriate safeguards in place, such as standard contractual clauses, to ensure your data remains protected.
11. Children's privacy
Monivo is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. If we make a material change, we will update the date below and post a notice on the site. Your continued use of Monivo after changes means you accept the updated policy.
13. Contact
For privacy questions, data requests, or concerns, email support@monivo.io or write to the address listed on our contact page.
