CKB network and swap checklist
CKB is the native coin of Nervos CKB, a proof-of-work Layer-1. One CKByte represents one byte of on-chain state capacity and CKB also pays transaction and computation fees.
CKB is used to pay network fees, occupy on-chain storage and support applications built with Nervos's Cell model.
Send and receive native CKB only on the Nervos CKB network. Use a CKB-compatible wallet, copy the destination exactly and confirm the network shown in the quote before sending.
A catalog listing does not guarantee a quote. Enter the amount in the swap form to see which connected providers respond, then review the selected provider's rate, limits, network and terms before sending.
About Nervos Network (CKB)
Layer-1 blockchainNervos CKB (CKB) is a proof-of-work Layer-1 with an unusual state model: you do not rent block space, you own it. Holding CKB is holding storage capacity on the chain, and issuance is designed to charge for that over time.
The story behind Nervos Network
Nervos launched in 2019 asking a question most chains dodge: who pays to store state forever when the fee that created it was paid once? Its answer is the Cell model, a generalised version of Bitcoin's UTXOs, where one CKB token equals one byte of on-chain storage. Secondary issuance then acts as a state rent on capacity held.
In 2024 the RGB++ protocol connected Nervos to Bitcoin's ecosystem, giving the chain a second life as Bitcoin-layer infrastructure.
What CKB is used for
CKB pays for transactions and represents storage capacity; locked capacity earns from secondary issuance rather than being diluted by it. The chain's flexible cryptography lets accounts be controlled by keys from other ecosystems, and RGB++ makes it a settlement environment for Bitcoin-native assets.
Nervos Network in the market today
Nervos is a small-cap with one of the more thoughtful economic designs in crypto and a persistent adoption problem — the Cell model is powerful and unfamiliar, which is an expensive combination. Its Bitcoin-layer positioning is the most credible route it has had to a wider audience.
How to buy or swap CKB

Fees and pricing
Monivo does not add a separate platform fee. The quoted receive amount reflects the executing provider's pricing and applicable payout costs. Your sending wallet or exchange may charge its own network or withdrawal fee. The amount shown is an estimate; fixed and floating quotes follow the provider's terms.
Monivo does not add a separate platform fee. Some partner quotes include a small affiliate margin that is retained by Monivo as a referral commission; this margin is included in the rate shown, not added on top. Provider spreads and applicable network costs are also reflected in the quoted amount.
Network fees are set by the blockchain, not by Monivo. No account, no subscription and no withdrawal charge. Live support is available 24/7.

What fees apply when I swap CKB?
Monivo adds zero fees on top. The quote you see already reflects the best aggregated rate across connected providers, including their network and processing costs — all fees are included in the shown amount.
What moves the CKB price?
Nervos CKB is a proof-of-work chain, so miner economics matter: issuance and mining costs put continuous supply into the market, and demand has to absorb it. On the demand side the drivers are usage of the network's Bitcoin-adjacent tooling, exchange availability, and the general altcoin cycle — CKB has historically moved with the market rather than against it.
Can anyone predict the CKB price?
No. Any page giving you a CKB target for next year is guessing with a chart. The figures that are real are the ones above — live price, 24-hour change, market cap, volume and supply — plus the executable rate you get when you actually swap.
