The story behind The Graph

Blockchains are excellent ledgers and terrible databases; asking one a question like 'every trade this wallet made' means replaying history. Yaniv Tal, Jannis Pohlmann and Brandon Ramirez founded The Graph in 2018 to fix that with subgraphs — open indexing definitions anyone can publish.
