Read a crypto swap before you make one

A safe swap starts with chain identity, not a price headline. These six concepts explain the information that changes whether a transfer reaches the intended provider and destination. They are stable operating principles; current availability and output must come from a live estimate.

Asset and network

A ticker can exist on several chains. Match the network on both wallets; a symbol alone is not enough.

Confirmations

Providers wait for a chain-specific number of blocks before exchanging a deposit. Congestion and reorg risk can change the wait.

Network fee

The sending wallet pays miners or validators. It is separate from Monivo, which adds no fee of its own.

Memo or destination tag

Some account-based destinations need both an address and an extra identifier. Omitting it can delay or prevent crediting.

Custody window

The selected third-party provider issues the deposit address and temporarily holds funds while executing the swap. Monivo never holds customer funds.

Floating and fixed estimates

Floating output can change with the provider's rate. A fixed estimate still is not reserved until an order exists and remains subject to its deposit window.
