Rates and fees

A Uniswap trade costs the pool fee tier plus network gas, and on thin pools the realised price can drift from the quote through slippage or MEV. On mainnet, an approval plus a swap during busy blocks can cost more than the trade itself for small amounts.

But it lives inside EVM chains — Bitcoin, Monero, TON and Solana assets appear only as wrapped or bridged representations, and moving between chains means adding a bridge with its own risk and fees.

Custody and security

Both models avoid a custodial account balance. Uniswap's risk surface is contract-level and user-level: token approvals, malicious token contracts, spoofed pools and MEV sandwiching around your transaction.

Can I swap Bitcoin or Monero on Uniswap?
