No-KYC crypto exchange: how it works on Monivo

Monivo does not require an account or identity documents to start a crypto-to-crypto swap. You pick a pair, compare live quotes from connected providers, send your deposit and receive the payout in your own wallet. This page walks through exactly what that involves, what you need before you start, and where its limits are. For the wider background on KYC and privacy, read our main no-KYC guide.

What you need before you start

  • A wallet you control for the coin you want to receive, on the correct network.
  • The coin you want to send, in a wallet or exchange account you can withdraw from.
  • Enough of the sending coin's native asset to pay its network fee, for example ETH for ERC-20 tokens or TRX for USDT on Tron.
  • A refund address for the sending coin, in case a provider has to return the deposit.

How a swap works, step by step

  • Choose the coin you send and the coin you receive, and enter the amount.
  • Compare the live quotes: each shows the amount you would receive from that provider, with its spread and payout network cost already reflected.
  • Pick a floating rate, which follows the market until your deposit is processed, or a fixed rate where the provider offers one, which locks the payout for a limited window.
  • Enter your receiving address, plus a memo or destination tag if the coin needs one, and your refund address.
  • Send exactly the deposit shown, on the network shown, before any quote window closes.
  • Track the order status until the provider sends your payout to your address.

What no-KYC means here, and what it does not

No-KYC on Monivo means no account, no email and no identity documents to start a crypto-to-crypto swap. It does not mean verification can never happen. Individual liquidity providers may still apply AML, sanctions, fraud-prevention or identity checks in certain circumstances, depending on the provider, the transaction and your jurisdiction.

Buying crypto with a card or bank transfer is different: those payments go through regulated payment partners, and banks require identity verification.

What it costs

Monivo does not add a separate fee or markup to the provider quote. Monivo may earn a commission from the liquidity provider when a completed swap is referred through our platform. Provider spreads and applicable network costs are reflected in the quoted amount. The network fee for sending your deposit is set by the blockchain and paid from your own wallet.

Spreads vary by provider, pair and amount, so compare the amount you receive rather than an advertised rate.

Speed, coverage and support

  • More than 1,000 assets can be quoted across connected providers.
  • Swaps average under 10 minutes; your coin's network confirmation times set the pace of any single order.
  • 24/7 live support can look up an order by its ID and contact the provider if something stalls.

Mistakes that cost the most

  • Sending on a different network from the one shown on the order.
  • Leaving out a required memo or destination tag, for example on XRP or TON.
  • Sending less than the provider's minimum for the pair.
  • Pasting a receiving address for the wrong coin; some address formats look alike.
  • Sending a second deposit to an order that is already paused or expired.

If a provider pauses your swap

If a provider holds an order for review, do not send again. Keep your order ID and deposit transaction hash and contact support. The provider decides what it needs and how the case ends; our guides explain why this happens and what follows.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to swap on Monivo?

No. You can start a crypto-to-crypto swap without an account, email or ID upload. You only provide the receiving address and a refund address.

Can a provider still ask for ID?

Yes, in certain circumstances. Individual liquidity providers may apply AML, sanctions, fraud-prevention or identity checks depending on the provider, the transaction and your jurisdiction.

Does Monivo hold my funds?

Monivo does not hold customer funds. Your deposit goes to the provider executing the swap, and the payout goes straight to the address you entered.

What does Monivo charge?

Monivo adds no separate fee or markup to the provider quote. It may earn a commission from the provider on completed swaps, and provider spreads and network costs are reflected in the quoted amount.

Is a fixed rate guaranteed?

A fixed rate locks the payout only for the provider's quote window and under its conditions. If the deposit arrives late or differs from the amount shown, the provider's terms decide what happens.

Can I buy crypto with a card without KYC?

No. Card and bank purchases go through regulated payment partners, and banks require identity verification. The no-KYC route applies to swapping crypto you already hold.

What happens if I send the wrong amount?

It depends on the provider. An amount below the minimum or outside a fixed quote may be refunded to your refund address minus network fees, or processed at a new rate. Contact support with your order ID.

How is this page different from the main no-KYC guide?

The main no-KYC guide covers what KYC is, why it exists and the privacy trade-offs. This page is the practical walkthrough of a swap on Monivo.
