The story behind TrueUSD (BSC)

TrustToken launched TUSD in 2018 as one of the first fully collateralised, attested alternatives to Tether, aiming to win trust through visible reserve reporting rather than reputation alone. The token was sold to an Asia-based owner in 2020, and in 2023 a Binance promotion offering zero-fee BTC/TUSD trading briefly pushed its supply above $3bn — a surge driven entirely by the incentive, which evaporated just as quickly once Binance ended it.
