About Aztec (AZTEC)

Privacy rollup

Aztec is a privacy-first Ethereum Layer-2 where transactions are private by default. Contracts can hold and compute over encrypted state using client-side zero-knowledge proofs, so users prove correctness without revealing inputs.

The story behind Aztec

Aztec's team has spent years at the frontier of applied zero-knowledge cryptography, including PLONK, a proving system now used across the industry. Its first product, Aztec Connect, offered private DeFi and was shut down in 2023 so the team could rebuild for a much harder target: a general-purpose private smart-contract network with proofs generated on the user's own device. The public network followed after an extended testnet phase.

What AZTEC is used for

The intended uses are the ones public blockchains cannot serve — private payments, confidential DeFi positions, identity credentials, and business logic that cannot be executed in full view of competitors. Noir, its contract language, lets developers write private circuits without being cryptographers.

Aztec in the market today

Aztec is an early-stage network with deep technical credibility and unavoidable regulatory attention: privacy infrastructure on Ethereum is scrutinised closely. Client-side proving also imposes real user-experience costs, and how well those are hidden will decide adoption more than the cryptography will.

How to buy or swap AZTEC

  1. Pick AZTEC as the asset you want to receive.
  2. Choose what you're paying with — crypto or a fiat card.
  3. Monivo compares every connected exchange and routes your order to the best available rate.
  4. Paste your wallet address and confirm — funds arrive in minutes.

Fees and pricing

Monivo does not add a separate platform fee. The quoted receive amount reflects the executing provider's pricing and applicable payout costs. Your sending wallet or exchange may charge its own network or withdrawal fee. The amount shown is an estimate; fixed and floating quotes follow the provider's terms.

Monivo does not add a separate platform fee. Some partner quotes include a small affiliate margin that is retained by Monivo as a referral commission; this margin is included in the rate shown, not added on top. Provider spreads and applicable network costs are also reflected in the quoted amount.

Network fees are set by the blockchain, not by Monivo. No account, no subscription and no withdrawal charge. Live support is available 24/7.
