ERG network and swap checklist
ERG is the native coin of Ergo, a proof-of-work smart-contract platform built around the extended UTXO model, ErgoScript and Sigma protocols.
ERG pays transaction fees, is issued to miners and supports contracts and applications on the Ergo network.
Send and receive native ERG only on the Ergo network. Use an Ergo-compatible wallet and verify the full destination before sending; ERG uses nine decimal places at its smallest unit.
A catalog listing does not guarantee a quote. Enter the amount to see which connected providers respond, then review the selected provider's rate, limits, network and terms.
About Ergo (ERG)
Layer-1 blockchainErgo (ERG) is a proof-of-work chain built for contractual money: extended UTXOs that carry spending conditions, privacy through sigma protocols, and a fair launch with no premine, no ICO and no venture allocation.
The story behind Ergo
Alexander Chepurnoy, a former core developer of Nxt and Scorex, launched Ergo in 2019 as a deliberate counterweight to the ICO era — the coin was mined from block one with no allocations to anyone. Its eUTXO model, which later influenced Cardano's, lets a transaction's outcome be fully determined before signing, and the ASIC-resistant Autolykos algorithm was chosen to keep mining accessible to individuals.
What ERG is used for
ERG pays fees and is mined. Applications include SigmaUSD, an algorithmic-reserve stablecoin, decentralised exchanges, and privacy-preserving contracts using non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs. Storage rent recycles genuinely abandoned coins back into the mining reward — an unusual answer to lost-key attrition.
Ergo in the market today
Ergo is a small-cap with a research-heavy community and no marketing budget, which is both its integrity and its ceiling. It competes for the shrinking pool of miners and users who prioritise fair launch and self-sovereignty over ecosystem size.
How to buy or swap ERG
- Pick ERG as the asset you want to receive.
- Choose what you're paying with — crypto or a fiat card.
- Monivo compares every connected exchange and routes your order to the best available rate.
- Paste your wallet address and confirm — funds arrive in minutes.
Fees and pricing
Monivo does not add a separate platform fee. The quoted receive amount reflects the executing provider's pricing and applicable payout costs. Your sending wallet or exchange may charge its own network or withdrawal fee. The amount shown is an estimate; fixed and floating quotes follow the provider's terms.
Monivo does not add a separate platform fee. Some partner quotes include a small affiliate margin that is retained by Monivo as a referral commission; this margin is included in the rate shown, not added on top. Provider spreads and applicable network costs are also reflected in the quoted amount.
Network fees are set by the blockchain, not by Monivo. No account, no subscription and no withdrawal charge. Live support is available 24/7.
ERG swap FAQ
How do I swap Ergo (ERG) instantly on Monivo?
Pick ERG as the asset you want to receive, choose what you're paying with, paste your wallet address, and confirm. Monivo routes your order to the provider offering the best rate, and most swaps complete in under 10 minutes — no account needed.
Can I swap ERG with no KYC?
Yes. Crypto-to-crypto swaps of ERG on Monivo require no identity verification and no sign-up. Only fiat purchases (card or bank transfer) require KYC, because banks and payment processors mandate it.
Is swapping Ergo on Monivo non-custodial?
Yes. Monivo never holds your funds. ERG is sent directly to the wallet address you provide, so you stay in control the whole time.
Which network does ERG use here?
Monivo supports Ergo on the Ergo network. Always double-check that your receiving wallet supports this network before confirming.
What fees apply when I swap ERG?
Monivo adds zero fees on top. The quote you see already reflects the best aggregated rate across connected providers, including their network and processing costs — all fees are included in the shown amount.
What moves the Ergo (ERG) price?
Ergo is proof-of-work with a capped supply and no premine, so mining issuance and miner selling are the constant supply pressure. Demand comes from a small, research-driven community and from the handful of venues that list ERG — thin liquidity means Ergo can move much harder than large caps in both directions on modest volume.
Can anyone predict the Ergo price?
No. Ergo is a small-cap asset with thin order books, which makes forecasts even less meaningful than usual. Check the live figures above, and check the spread before swapping — on illiquid assets the spread costs you far more than any exchange fee.
