The story behind Gnosis

Martin Köppelmann and Stefan George founded Gnosis in 2015 and ran one of Ethereum's earliest token sales in 2017 to fund prediction market infrastructure, at a time when few people outside the Ethereum community had heard of the concept. The team's most consequential work turned out to be something else entirely: Gnosis Safe, now the standard multisig custody contract used by DAOs and treasuries across the industry to protect shared funds. It later produced CoW Protocol, a trading system designed to protect users from front-running, and in 2022 launched the Gnosis Chain network itself.
