About Telcoin (TEL)

Payments token

Telcoin (TEL) is a mobile-first payments and remittance token originally built for sending money through telecom partners, now paired with a pursuit of formal US banking regulation to issue a fully compliant dollar stablecoin.

The story behind Telcoin

Telcoin was founded in Singapore in 2017 before later relocating its headquarters to the United States, initially focused on remittance corridors accessed directly through mobile network operators — a route aimed at reaching people whose main financial access point is a phone rather than a bank branch. In 2024–2025 the project shifted its ambitions further by pursuing a Nebraska digital asset bank charter, a formal US regulatory status that would let it issue a fully regulated dollar stablecoin rather than relying on third-party issuers.

What TEL is used for

TEL pays network transaction fees, is staked within the Telcoin Association's validator system, and powers the Telcoin Wallet's remittance and currency exchange features, letting users send money across borders and switch between currencies from a single mobile app. The pursuit of a bank charter is meant to eventually let the same infrastructure carry a fully regulated dollar stablecoin rather than only crypto-native assets.

Telcoin in the market today

Telcoin is a small-cap payments project distinguished more by its pursuit of formal banking regulation than by heavy DeFi activity or trading volume, a slower path that trades short-term visibility for what could be a more durable regulatory footing than most crypto payments projects ever achieve. Whether that patience pays off depends entirely on regulators actually granting and maintaining the charter, an outcome that is far from guaranteed.

How to buy or swap TEL

  1. Pick TEL as the asset you want to receive.
  2. Choose what you're paying with — crypto or a fiat card.
  3. Monivo compares every connected exchange and routes your order to the best available rate.
  4. Paste your wallet address and confirm — funds arrive in minutes.

Fees and pricing

Zero added fees: Monivo does not add a platform fee, a minimum or a withdrawal charge — the rate you see is the rate you get. Blockchain network fees are shown in full before you confirm, and the final amount you receive is quoted up front.

Monivo does not add a separate fee or markup to the provider quote. Monivo may earn a commission from the liquidity provider when a completed swap is referred through our platform. Provider spreads and applicable network costs are reflected in the quoted amount.

Network fees are set by the blockchain, not by Monivo. No account, no subscription and no withdrawal charge. Live support is available 24/7.
